Internship Marketing and Communications for 2020

The European Safari Company offers a Marketing and Communications Internship in 2020.

The European Safari Company (ESC) specialises in experiential nature based travel across Europe. The concept was born from the need that arose within Rewilding Europe’s areas for a platform to show the world the beauty of these destinations and allow people to easily access these.

The European Safari Company is a nature travel company where travelers contribute to rewilding and nature conservation. We have an internship available for January till June 2020, for those who have a strong interest in marketing, social media and communications. Internships are unpaid and can be full- or part-time, based in the Netherlands, or possibly elsewhere in Europe.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Help build The European Safari Company brand in a careful way, through a wide range of communication, marketing and branding initiatives; 
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of social media strategies and administration of ESC social media accounts;
  • Responsible for the content management and traffic growth of The European Safari Company website; 
  • Ensure branding and communication alignment with local partner teams; 
  • Help plan marketing and communication events;
  • Ensure and work with (local) communication manager(s) of Rewilding Europe to generate content, news and information flow in both directions.


  • Study or strong background in marketing and communications, ideally within tourism related fields; 
  • A very pro-active attitude and personality with an ability to work independently;
  • Excellent creative writing and editing skills in English - aimed at a wide audience; 
  • Excellent social skills and experience with inter-cultural communication; 
  • A pro-active attitude and problem-solving abilities; strong organisational capacities, team player. 
  • Able to work from your own laptop;
  • Passionate about The European Safari Company’s mission, vision and objectives! 

The European Safari Company will offer

  • Office space and guidance during the internship (minimum 1 day/week);
  • Freedom to work partly from home;
  • Travel costs to and from the office in Nijmegen (if you live in the Netherlands);
  • Official feedback (for university students who need internship evaluation);
  • A trip to an ESC area is potentially part of the internship;
