IT and Web Development Internship 2020

The European Safari Company offers an IT & Web Development internship in 2020.

The European Safari Company (ESC) specialises in experiential nature based travel across Europe. The concept was born from the need that arose within Rewilding Europe’s areas for a platform to show the world the beauty of these destinations and allow people to easily access these.

The European Safari Company is a nature travel company where travelers contribute to rewilding and nature conservation. We have an internship available for January till June 2020, for those who have a strong interest in IT and website development. Internships are unpaid and can be full- or part-time, based in the Netherlands, or possibly elsewhere in Europe.

Tasks and responsibilities 

  • Help build The European Safari Company brand in a careful way, through the website; 
  • Responsible for the content management and traffic growth of The European Safari Company website; 
  • Responsible for smooth booking process from inquiry until payment;
  • Implementing SEO improvements;
  • Integrated dashboard building (FB, GA, etc.);
  • UX improvements;
  • Implementing IT connection with tourism partners;


  • Study or strong background in IT and website development; 
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and ideally experience in working with TYPO3;
  • A very pro-active attitude and personality with an ability to work independently;
  • Excellent social skills and experience with inter-cultural communication; 
  • A pro-active attitude and problem-solving abilities; strong organisational capacities, team player. 
  • Able to work from your own laptop;
  • Passionate about The European Safari Company’s mission, vision and objectives!

The European Safari Company will offer

  • Office space and guidance during the internship (minimum 1 day/week);
  • Freedom to work partly from home;
  • Travel costs to and from the office in Nijmegen (if you live in the Netherlands);
  • Official feedback (for university students who need internship evaluation);
  • A trip to an ESC area is potentially part of the internship;
