Trip Overview

You can travel at your own pace, equipped with the best gear and backed with on call support and great tour tips along the way. The trip includes pre arranged accommodation in B&Bs and hotels and provide you with a warm shower and cozy bed at the end of the days adventure.

The tour is suited for both experienced paddlers and beginners or families with children, as there are no locks and very little current on the Peene river.

With binoculars, water and a route ahead the day is yours to explore at your own pace.

After your guide briefing each morning, your adventure on the daily stages which vary between 8km and 18 km begins.

In the tranquility of the unspoiled nature you come across storks, herons, white-tailed eagles and with a bit of luck also otters and beavers. The remains of Slavic castles, village churches and monastery ruins, as well as the people who live here tell you about the varied history of this part of the country.

Picturesque sunsets and a campfire atmosphere in the tranquility of the Peene valley will remain in your memory for many years to come…and no doubt you will return for another adventure.

"Magical experiences start with a misty morning sunrise on the Peene river."

Meet Frank

I was born and raised in Greifswa, where my love for the my homeland Pommern arose during many bike rides with my parents and siblings.

Bathing in the Baltic Sea and evenings with friends on the beach around campfires fill my childhood memories…later in life these experienced where paired with a good Pomeranian beer, and the peace of nature filling the background.

My professional life led me to military service in 1984 on the border between the German Democratic Republic and the People's Republic of Poland on the island of Usedom, the Szczecin Lagoon and the Pomeranian Bay in the southern Baltic Sea.

It was a border between friendly countries, but also a border that separated people surrounded by nature.

Today I am very happy that this border connects the people in Pomerania and we can show our international guests our beautiful landscape in the middle of Europe with their natural wealth.

My colleagues and I would like to welcome you to a safari in the Oder Delta by canoe, kayak or solar boat.
