Your trip in detail

This is a seven days tour with a focus on the exclusive wilderness of the Eastern Rhodope Mountains, combined with outdoor activities and traditional food.

The Rhodope Mountains has a huge variety of species and habitats, and has become one of the bird watching hotspots in Europe.  Home to not only amazing birdlife this natural hotspot is home to wolves and bear as well, and is a great destination for hiking, biking and kayaking.

Enjoy a great mixture of activity as you explore this magical region with your groups personal guide. With a combination of activities including hiking, kayaking, bird watching and wildlife photography.

Example day: Early wake-up to visit the especially constructed wildlife hide nearby the town where feeding for the birds of prey is organised including a 4x4 vehicle transfer and packed breakfast. Species tincluding: Griffon vulture, Egyptian vulture, Black vulture, White-tailed eagle, raven, Black Kite, jackal, fox & wolf.

Visit the Madzharovo vulture center which is a Bird Life international center. Enjoy lunch in the beautiful garden of the center, surrounded by oak forest where Spanish sparrows, Sombre tit and Eastern Bonelli’s warbler live.

In the afternoon – a short 3km walking tour (3 km) to the rocky cliffs of “Patronka”: Long-legged Buzzards, Honey Buzzards, Golden and Short-toed Eagles, Peregrine Falcons, Hobbies, Levant Sparrowhawk, Goshawks, Rock Nuthatches, Blue Rock Trushes, Scops owl, Black-eared Wheatears, Crag Martins, Red-rumped Swallows, Alpine swift, and many others.

Go back by bus to the Wild farm (8km) for dinner & sleep.

Mihaela has a bachelor in tourism management, is a digital marketing specialist and advisor for tourism entrepreneurs. With more than 20 years experience in the tourism filed, Mihaela is an inspiring example of how people can turn hobbies and passions into a successful business.
