The Netherlands is an underestimated nature and biodiversity haven full of different landscapes that tell stories about human and natural coexistence.
From green pastures and meandering rivers in the south to lively colored forests in the east and muddy walks to access islands full of sand dunes in the north.
Wildlife in this area is surprising and varied. In the south, you can spot beavers, Galloway cattle, and Konik horses. The Veluwe area is home to roe and red deer, wild boar, fox and the newly returned wolf. The Wadden Islands are a birdlife haven where you can spot gulls, terns, heron, and spoonbills amongst others. They are also home to grey and harbors seals.
We are launching this area with two “microadventures”. These small safaris are weekend getaways in the nature of 2 or 3 days in which you will be instantly immersed in the beautiful and surprising nature surrounding you.
The first Microadventure will take you to the heart of the National Park Veluwe where you can stroll through the largest nature reserve of The Netherlands. Guided by an expert professional who will help you spot wildlife and teach you about the forest you will spend 2 memorable days and sleep put in the wilderness.
Our second Microadventure will give you the unique chance to walk on the sea. Yes, you read that right, the Wadden Sea in the north of the Netherlands allows to cross from mainland to islands when the tide is low. In this 3 day adventure through a UNESCO heritage site you will be surrounded by muddy crossings between masses of land, sand dunes and the murmur of the sea.
You can check all about the new destination and the experiences in our website. In the meantime we are busy developing new experiences in The Netherlands so keep an eye on our social media and website for new and exciting safari adventures in Europe.
