Alice and Joep grew up in the South of the Netherlands, in the hospitable province of Brabant.
Joep was born and raised in Brabant’s largest nature reserve: the Maashorst. In his youth he often played and roamed the vast forests and moors.
With their young family Alice and Joep have made many camping trips through Europe to small scale nature campsites.
After 18 years of working together in education, the couple set up a new adventure in 2017: setting up a nature campsite in their hometown.
In Charme Camping Hartje Groen & de Boshut they can combine their love for the outdoors, camping in nature and welcoming guests in a beautiful setting.
"It's great to welcome people who, like us, love to go on an adventure to the most beautiful places"
Hartje Groen stands for love and respect for the surroundings. The campsite works closely with local entrepreneurs, nature clubs and non-profit organizations. Local products are served the menu and workplaces are created for people with a distance from the labour market.
"Our guests enjoy the vast nature of the Maashorst. Here large grazers can be spotted like, Exmoor Pony, Taurus and European Bison.”
